Perfect cleaning help for your home!
BOOK A CLEANERThese Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Cleaners Brompton provides cleaning services to residential and commercial clients. By making a booking or allowing our cleaners to attend your premises, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before using our services.
In these Terms and Conditions the following expressions have the meanings set out below:
Client means the person, company or organisation booking or receiving the services.
Company means Cleaners Brompton, the cleaning service provider.
Services means any cleaning or related services provided by the Company to the Client.
Premises means the property or location where the Services are to be carried out.
Cleaner means any employee, contractor or representative of the Company who provides the Services.
The Company provides domestic and commercial cleaning services, including but not limited to regular housekeeping, one-off deep cleans, end of tenancy cleaning, and other agreed specialist cleaning tasks. The specific scope, frequency and duration of the Services will be agreed at the time of booking and confirmed in writing or via the booking confirmation issued to the Client.
Any additional tasks requested during or after commencement of the Services may be subject to additional charges, and their acceptance will be at the Companys discretion and capacity.
3.1 Clients may request a booking by contacting the Company and providing accurate details regarding the Premises, required Services, preferred dates and times, and any access instructions.
3.2 All bookings are subject to availability. A booking is deemed confirmed only when the Company issues a confirmation specifying the date, time, service type and applicable charges. The Company reserves the right to refuse or decline a booking at its sole discretion.
3.3 The Client must ensure that the information provided at the time of booking is complete and accurate. Any changes to the booking details, including address, scope of work, or timing, must be communicated to the Company as soon as possible and may result in changes to the quoted price or the availability of the booking.
3.4 Where a regular cleaning schedule is agreed, the parties will agree the day, time and frequency of visits. The Company will make reasonable efforts to provide the same Cleaner for each visit, but this cannot be guaranteed. The Company may substitute Cleaners where required to ensure continuity of service.
4.1 The Client is responsible for ensuring that the Cleaner has safe and reasonable access to the Premises at the agreed time. This may include providing keys, key codes or arranging for someone to be present to grant access.
4.2 If the Cleaner is unable to gain access due to the Clients act or omission, including but not limited to incorrect access information or absence of a key, the visit may be treated as a late cancellation and charged in accordance with the cancellation policy set out in section 8.
4.3 Where keys or access devices are provided to the Company, they will be stored and handled with reasonable care. The Company does not accept responsibility for any pre-existing issues with locks, alarm systems or entry mechanisms.
5.1 The Client must ensure that the Premises are reasonably prepared for the Services to be carried out. This includes ensuring that essential utilities such as water and electricity are available and that the Premises are safe for work.
5.2 The Client must inform the Company of any hazards, risks, fragile items or special surfaces that require particular care or specific cleaning methods. The Company will not be liable for damage where the Client has failed to provide appropriate information or instructions.
5.3 The Client is responsible for securing any valuables, cash, jewellery and important documents prior to the Cleaner attending the Premises. The Company does not accept responsibility for loss of unsecured valuable items.
5.4 The Client must comply with applicable laws and regulations relating to the Premises, including health and safety, and must not request the Cleaner to undertake any unlawful or unsafe tasks.
6.1 The price for the Services will be communicated to the Client at or before the time of booking, based on the information provided about the Premises and the scope of work. Prices may be quoted on an hourly basis, a fixed fee, or a combination of both.
6.2 The Company reserves the right to adjust prices where the information provided by the Client proves to be inaccurate or incomplete, or where the condition of the Premises or required scope of work is significantly different from what was reasonably expected.
6.3 Payment terms will be confirmed at the time of booking. The Company may require payment in advance, payment on the day of service, or invoicing with specified payment deadlines. The Client agrees to pay all charges in accordance with the agreed payment terms.
6.4 The Company may accept various payment methods, such as card payments or bank transfers, as indicated during the booking process. The Client is responsible for any charges imposed by their payment provider.
6.5 In the event of late payment, the Company reserves the right to charge interest on overdue amounts and to suspend or cancel further Services until full payment has been received.
7.1 The Client may request changes to the date, time or scope of a booking subject to availability. The Company will use reasonable efforts to accommodate such changes but cannot guarantee that all requests can be met.
7.2 Any agreed changes may result in adjustments to the price. The Company will communicate any revisions to the Client for approval before proceeding.
8.1 The Client may cancel or reschedule a booking by giving the notice specified by the Company at the time of booking. If sufficient notice is provided, no cancellation fee will be charged.
8.2 Where the Client cancels or reschedules with less notice than required, the Company reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee, which may be up to the full amount of the scheduled visit. The applicable notice period and fee will be communicated to the Client as part of the booking confirmation.
8.3 If the Cleaner is unable to gain access to the Premises or if the visit cannot proceed due to circumstances within the Clients control, this may be treated as a late cancellation and charged accordingly.
8.4 The Company may cancel or reschedule bookings where necessary due to staff sickness, operational issues, adverse conditions or other factors beyond its reasonable control. In such cases the Company will endeavour to provide as much notice as possible and to agree an alternative appointment. No cancellation fee will be payable by the Client in these circumstances.
9.1 The Company aims to provide Services with reasonable skill and care. The Client is encouraged to inspect the work on completion where possible and to raise any concerns promptly.
9.2 If the Client is dissatisfied with any aspect of the Services, they should contact the Company as soon as reasonably practicable, ideally within 24 hours of the service. The Company may offer to return to the Premises to rectify the issue or provide another reasonable solution, at its discretion.
9.3 Allegations of unsatisfactory work made after a significant delay may be harder to verify, and the Company may not be able to offer corrective action or compensation in such cases.
10.1 The Company will exercise reasonable skill and care in providing the Services and will maintain suitable insurance cover for its activities as required by applicable law.
10.2 The Company will not be liable for any pre-existing damage, excessive wear and tear, or defects at the Premises, nor for damage arising from the use of products or equipment supplied by the Client contrary to manufacturers instructions or professional recommendation.
10.3 The Clients belongings and property should be maintained in a reasonable condition. The Company is not responsible for disintegration or damage to items that are already worn, aged, faulty or otherwise fragile.
10.4 To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Companys total liability for loss or damage arising in connection with the Services, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, shall be limited to the lesser of the cost of repairing the damage or the total amount paid by the Client for the particular visit during which the incident occurred.
10.5 The Company shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of opportunity, or loss of enjoyment, arising out of or in connection with the provision of the Services.
10.6 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability where it cannot legally be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.
11.1 Unless otherwise agreed, the Company will provide standard cleaning products and equipment necessary to perform the Services. Where the Client requests the use of their own products or equipment, they are responsible for ensuring that such items are safe, suitable and in good working order.
11.2 The Company is not liable for any damage or reduced effectiveness of cleaning where the Client has insisted on particular products or methods against professional advice.
12.1 The Company will handle routine household and commercial waste generated directly through the cleaning process in accordance with applicable waste management and environmental regulations. This may include separating recyclables and disposing of general waste in designated containers at the Premises.
12.2 The Services do not include the removal or disposal of hazardous, clinical, industrial or construction waste, nor large items such as furniture or appliances, unless expressly agreed in advance. The Client is responsible for arranging appropriate disposal of such waste through authorised providers.
12.3 The Client must inform the Company in advance of any substances or materials present at the Premises that could pose a health, safety or environmental risk. The Company reserves the right to refuse to handle any items or areas that in its reasonable opinion are unsafe or non-compliant with relevant regulations.
12.4 The Company aims to use products and methods that are considerate of environmental standards where practicable. However, any specific environmental or sustainability requirements must be agreed in writing prior to the start of the Services and may involve additional charges.
13.1 The Company and its Cleaners will follow reasonable health and safety practices while providing the Services. The Client must ensure that the Premises are safe and that there are no conditions that could present a risk of injury or ill health.
13.2 Cleaners are instructed not to undertake work at unsafe heights or to move excessively heavy items of furniture or equipment. The Client should not request tasks that fall outside safe working practices.
14.1 The Company will treat any personal information supplied by the Client in connection with the Services confidentially and will only use such information for legitimate business purposes relating to the provision of Services, administration, and compliance with legal obligations.
14.2 The Company will take reasonable steps to protect any personal data it holds and will process such data in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
15.1 The Company shall not be liable for any delay in performing, or failure to perform, any of its obligations under these Terms and Conditions if such delay or failure results from events, circumstances or causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, transport disruptions, strikes, acts of government, or utility failures.
15.2 In such circumstances the Company will endeavour to resume the Services as soon as reasonably practicable or to agree an alternative solution with the Client.
16.1 Either party may terminate ongoing regular Services by giving the notice period specified at the time of setting up the service, or if no period is specified, by giving reasonable notice.
16.2 The Company may suspend or terminate Services with immediate effect if the Client fails to pay any sum due, behaves abusively towards Cleaners, requests unsafe or unlawful work, or otherwise breaches these Terms and Conditions.
17.1 The Company reserves the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The current version will apply to all bookings and Services. Where changes are material and affect ongoing regular Services, the Company will provide reasonable notice to the Client.
18.1 These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
18.2 The parties agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or their subject matter.
19.1 These Terms and Conditions, together with any written booking confirmation or service schedule issued by the Company, constitute the entire agreement between the Client and the Company in relation to the Services and supersede any prior discussions, correspondence or understandings.
19.2 If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
By placing a booking with Cleaners Brompton or using our Services, the Client acknowledges that they have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
